Conveyor Systems
Belt conveyors are the circulatory system of a mine. Two duty patterns dominate: long-distance high-power runs, and shorter variable-speed drives in the small to medium range.
Dust sets the maintenance cycle
Across conveyors, crushers, vibrating feeders, screens and dust collection equipment, bearing replacement intervals on dusty sites cluster around three years. Ingress is the primary driver — which is why ingress protection rating deserves as much attention at selection as power rating does, and why sealing arrangement is worth specifying explicitly rather than accepting the default.
