Wellsites are explosive gas atmospheres. The Class/Division system used in North America and the Zone system used internationally are not interchangeable — specifying the wrong one means the motor cannot be installed.
Overheating from a mismatched pump and motor
A new pump drawing excessive current and tripping on thermal overload after thirty minutes is a recognisable pattern. The root cause is usually a motor and pump that do not match, producing cavitation and then sustained overload.

One speed, two power ratings, from a single machine
A northern Chinese oilfield adopted the YDGJ series multi-power three-phase induction motor, letting one machine switch between the power ratings required at different stages of the pumping cycle. This replaced the conventional fixed one-well-one-pump-one-motor arrangement, reducing both idle equipment and capital outlay.
