YZYVP Dedicated Control System for Three-Phase Induction Motors
A packaged motor and drive cabinet for oilfield duty, built around the YVP (IP55) variable-speed induction motor, with both drive and line-supply operating modes.
YZYVP is an integrated package: the YVP (IP55) oilfield variable-speed three-phase induction motor plus an intelligent variable-frequency cabinet. It is aimed at oilfield loads that are not constant — beam pumping units in particular.
The cabinet uses a dual-circuit design, so the motor can be run either through the drive or directly on the line supply. In drive mode the system runs constant-torque from 5 to 50 Hz without torque pulsation, giving high starting torque at low starting current. In line mode an intelligent motor protector handles over-voltage, over-current and phase loss.
Control is sensorless vector. The cabinet also heats itself automatically at low ambient and cools itself at high ambient, which matters on unmanned wellsites.
