LD800 Series Variable-Frequency Drive

The LD series is built around a 32-bit DSP motor control processor. It uses high-performance current vector control, which is what gives it high torque output at low speed together with good dynamic torque response and substantial overload capability.

Every model carries two ratings — G for heavy duty and P for light duty — so the same drive covers a constant-torque load at one rating and a variable-torque load such as a fan or pump one size up. The model code says which: LD800-T3-011G/015PB is 11 kW heavy duty, 15 kW light duty, with a brake unit fitted.

Optional expansion cards (PG feedback, communications, I/O and application-specific) adapt it to particular installations.

Selection guide

LD800-T3-011G/015PB: LD800 series, T = three phase, 3 = 380 V, 011G = 11 kW heavy duty, 015P = 15 kW light duty, B = brake unit fitted. Order by the duty your load actually is, not by the motor nameplate alone.
Constant-torque loads — conveyors, extruders, hoists — take the G rating. Variable-torque loads such as fans and centrifugal pumps can take the P rating, which is one size up on the same hardware.
The permanent magnet series have their own matched drives and control cabinets — TYP-T3-F for the beam pump package, and dedicated high-frequency drives for GTYP. Tell us the motor series with the enquiry so the pairing is right.
