The general-purpose workhorse: single-speed, totally enclosed fan-cooled, continuous duty, at IE3 efficiency across the full H80–H355 frame range.

YE3 meets grade 3 of GB 18613—2020 and IE3 of IEC 60034-30-1 — the level a North American buyer knows as NEMA Premium, although the two bodies publish their own tables and only the 50 Hz NEMA values are derived from IE3. It is a single-speed, totally enclosed, fan-cooled, continuous-duty low-voltage squirrel-cage induction motor for applications with no special requirement.

Frame numbering runs H80 to H355 with 2, 4, 6 and 8 pole variants, so the same series covers 3000 rpm fan and pump duty through to 750 rpm mill and conveyor duty without changing product line.

Selection guide

Constant-speed duty running near rated load, where capital cost matters and there is no hazardous-area requirement. This is the default choice unless something specific pushes you off it.
The higher efficiency classes pay back through running hours, not through rating. The longer the annual operating hours and the higher the electricity tariff, the sooner YE4 or YE5 returns the price premium. The energy comparison calculator works that through for a specific rating.
If the duty is variable-speed, involves frequent starting, or spends much of its life at part load, an induction motor loses efficiency where a permanent magnet synchronous machine does not. See the TYC and TYP series.

FAQ

They are the same efficiency level, set by two different standards bodies — the NEMA standard derives its 50 Hz Premium Efficiency values from IE3 of IEC 60034-30-1 and says so in a footnote to that table. YE3 meets IE3 under IEC 60034-30-1 and grade 3 under GB 18613—2020. For the North American market LEADGO builds the NEMA PE series to the NEMA standard instead, because frame dimensions, voltages and frequency differ.
