YEJ electromagnetic brake three-phase induction motor

YEJ is a three-phase induction motor with an integrated electromagnetic brake, built to JB/T 6456-2022. The brake applies when the motor loses power, so a supply failure stops the machine instead of letting it run on.

That behaviour is the whole point. It suits anything that must stop quickly, position accurately, reverse repeatedly or be prevented from drifting — and it is why the series turns up in wind turbine yaw braking as well as in general machinery.

Rated duty is S3, intermittent periodic, which reflects how these machines are actually used: repeated start-stop cycles rather than continuous running.

Selection guide

The brake is applied by spring and released by the coil, so loss of supply means the brake goes on. If your application needs the opposite behaviour, this is the wrong machine.

The rating is S3 intermittent periodic. Tell us the cycles per hour and the inertia being stopped — brake wear and thermal load both come from that, not from the motor rating.

Voltage, frequency and protection degree can all be built to a different specification on this series. Ask if the standard build does not fit.
