Receiving inspection separates transport damage from later storage damage. Do it at the unloading point while crate condition, seals and indicators are still intact.

Preserve evidence and equipment

Do not rotate a shaft, remove a transport lock or energise heaters until the supplier’s instructions and damage state are understood. Record shortages against the packing list. If accepted, restore packaging, connect approved preservation supplies and enter the motor in the periodic storage log.
